In September, 2003 - One of
our staff visited the
“Sunshine state” to check out
Universal Studios, Islands of
Adventure, and The City Walk in
Orlando.

I stayed
at the beautiful Portofino Bay
Hotel, which is one of the three
on-site hotels. The hotel is a replica of Portofino Italy and since the hotel
is on-site my room key allowed me
Universal Express ride access.
I must say that it was great
being able to go to the front of the
line and have very little, if any,
wait time.

I
spent a full day at Universal
Studios and experienced a twister, a
shark attack, what it’s like to be
an MIB agent, saving a planet, and
so much more.
The park is full of movie
memorabilia and there’s something
for everyone.
|
On my
second day I went to Islands of
Adventure Theme-Park.
There are 5 different themed
areas including: Suess Landing, The
Lost Continent, Jurassic Park, Toon
Lagoon, and Marvel Super-Hero
Island.
If you’re a fan of roller
coasters then you’ll have to try
The Incredible Hulk Coaster. |

When entering Jurassic Park, it was
like stepping into the movie.
There were loose, loud dinosaurs,
high voltage fences, and the sounds
of the jungle in this lush green
setting.

The City Walk is considered the
“hot-spot” in Orlando.
I would have to agree, the
nightlife is great!
Good music, bright lights,
nightclubs, restaurants, and movies.
If you love to party, this is
one place you won’t want to miss.
