At Disney World with Pooh

Disney World Adventure

In November 2004, a member of our staff took her fourth trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Here is a brief synopsis of her vacation.  Email Travel Travel to book your Disney Vacation.

Disney World Olk Key West ResortWe stayed at the Old Key West Resort in a 2-bedroom villa.  This was my second time staying at  this resort, and it’s well worth the money.  It’s nice and  quiet, and has a very homey feel to it. There is an on-site restaurant called Olivia's along with a couple of pools, a game room, an arcade, and more.  I would recommend taking a boat over to Downtown Disney.  It's about a 15 minute ride and it's very peaceful and relaxing.
Walt Disney World Cinderella's Castle
In the Magic Kingdom we were able to catch a couple of shows, ride a few rides, watch a couple parades, and dine with Winnie the Pooh and friends at a character dinner.  The character dinner was a great way to be able to get autographs and photos with the characters.  However if your looking for a nice quiet meal, this is anything but quiet.  At night you will want to stay for the Spectro Magic parade followed by the fireworks.

Walt Disney World Wild Animal Park
In the Animal Kingdom, I had three favorites that I would recommend to everyone.  First, there is the Safari.  You will want to get there first thing in the morning and stand in line or get a Fast Pass.  We had to wait about an hour or so before we were able to get on the jeeps.  But it was well worth the wait. Second, the 4D show called "Tough To Be A Bug." It's only about 15 minutes long and located under the tree of life. Third, check out The Lion King show.  It’s about an hour long and it’s amazing.

Disney World MGM Studios
A full day was spent at Disney’s MGM Studios.  For the thrill ride fans, the Rock’N Rollercoaster and the Tower of Terror are a must!  It is a good idea to get Fast Passes for both of these rides.  If you liked the movie Beauty and the Beast, definitely check out the show.  It’s just as good as the movie, only live.  If you don’t wear yourself out during the day, stay for the laser show, Fantasmic.  It’s a new show put on at night with water and lasers.  You’ll want to get there about 2 hours early though.  There is limited seating and it fills up fast.
Walt Disney World Epcot Center We went to Epcot during the International Food and Wine Festival.  There are many different carts set up where you can sample different foods and beverages from other countries.  Unfortunately we didn’t do much sampling. At Epcot, there are two newer rides that I did go on.  Mission Space and The Test Track.  Mission Space was great!  If you are not prone to motion sickness, definitely go on this one!  As far as The Test Track goes, I honestly wasn’t impressed.  You play the part of a crash test dummy (not literally) and go through tests they put cars through.Because of special events within the Epcot complex, we waited in line a lot The line for the Test Track was 20 minutes long and I didn’t think it was worth the wait;  however, other people seemed to really like it.   Epcot also has a laser show at night.  It lasts about 20 minutes or so and it takes place in the middle of The World Showcase.  You will want to find your spot early because the good spots fill up quickly.

Walt Disney World Minnie Mouse
Walt Disney World is fun for all ages and there’s plenty to do.  I’ve been a fan all my life and each trip just keeps getting better.  So whether you’re looking for a family vacation or just a fun getaway, give Walt Disney World a try. Call or email Travel Travel to book your Disney Adventure.
