What is the Local Currency?
You can get local currency from ATMs all across Scandinavia, but please advise with your bank prior to departure what their policies are on service fees and exchange rate fees abroad. The fees are likely to be less than if you exchange money in your home country before departure. Most restaurants and shops will accept credit cards, but it is always a good idea to ask beforehand. Many places will not accept American Express. |
| Do I Need a Passport? |
| Be advised that any international travel requires a valid passport. Some nations requires you to have a visa if you are planning an extended stay; 3 months or up. Anything less than a 3 month stay in any of the Scandinavian countries does not require a visa. Visit the appropriate embassies for up to date information and full details about visa requirements. |
| Do I Need Travel Insurance? |
| We highly recommend that each customer has the appropriate travel insurance to protect them in the event that something unplanned should happen. This is something we can include in your travel package to make it easier for you, and also give you some peace of mind. |
| What Language do they Speak? |
| Scandinavia is very advanced in English proficiency. The school’s start teaching English to their students at a very early age. Getting around as a native English speaker is for that reason no problem when travelling in Scandinavia. |

Knowing a few words and short useful phrases always comes in handy, makes situations easier, and is always a big hit with the locals.
