United Airlines
Mileage Plus Program Changes

February 2007:

United has announced that Mileage Plus miles in accounts that are "inactive" for 18 months will expire.  Previously miles expired if the account was "inactive" for three years.

If an account has been "inactive" since July 1, 2006 and there is no activity on the account between now and the end of this year, the miles will expire on December 31, 2007.

In addition to flying on United or one of the Partner Airlines, travelers can also keep the account active by using a Mileage Plus Visa Card to purchase products or services from more than 100 United Airlines travel and retail partners.
